IMHO, during about thirty years after WW2, many important things were influenced by a trivial fact - lots of men with combat experience on every level of decision making chain at any place in any country.

Special ops departments surely were choking on this military aftermath, parachuting agents just out of a habit... But I suspect that peaceful organization took no lesser impact.

For example, roots of Japanese corporation style could well be hidden not in mysterious Japanese mentality, but in barracks of the Imperial Army.
