Я раскопал оригинал статьи в Naval Review ( http://www.naval-review.com/issues/1920s/1921-1.pdf ) , британский аффтар жег слогом не по-детски: "Murmansk is a God-forsaken hole. Its best friend could not describe it as anything else. There is a railway. There is a station. There are wood huts, wooden wharfs for ships discharging. There is a post office with a telegraph cable, the one connecting link with civilisation. There are various Consular flags. There are dogs, which appear more intelligent in expression than the local population. There is even an electric light plant. But, having said so much, one has exhausted the attractions of the place. There was not even a " Movie " show, not even a Y.M.C.A. establishment. The water supply is primitive. Drains there are none. It is as desolate and depressing a colony of living beings as one can well imagine. "

А у идиотов это бы превратилось в городскую свалку о том что "англичанка всегда гадит" и что "не успели у себя в столице холеру извести а уже возводят поклеп на наш Мурманск".
