From a viewpoint of an US isolationist, Israel can not be an asset - it's by definition a liability. Costly military aid, problems in relations with Arab states. All that in exchange for what?

Therefore, I completely fail to grasp where from Israel right get theirs wet dreams about Trump cadence.
