Capital city is everywhere different from the periphery, Iran or no Iran.

Thanks for the pictures, they are really nice. And also thanks for not saying smth like "let's bomb these girls before they breed more murderous Iranians".

I have a colleague who has recently worked in Iran during several years. Ironically, this colleague is Jewish... Never mind. He told me that Iran is exactly like the USSR during Brezhnev era: the same jokes, no one believes in the ideals of the Revolution but few say it openly etc. If stupid Bush & Co do not put pressure from outside, the whole system will collapse exactly like the USSR did. The only guy who can save the regime is President Bush. Many people hate the system but are patriots of the country and will defend it if attacked by a foreign enemy.

Majority persians live outside big cities and they far more conservative. Besides, unlike USSR, there is a democracy of sort in Iran. At least people can elect their own president with some alternative. Instead of hardline Ahmadinedzhad they could elect moderate like Hatami, but elected no to do so. Never underestimate persian nationalism.

Yea, it's everywhere. The difference can be more or less sharp, though.

For many people world of words is like medieval street - they throw there garbage and continue living. Dangerous habit, that. But one should learn to recognize it. Because there is a difference between these people and true monsters.

It all sounds pretty well, but don't forget that Iran's "decision makers" are children of revolution and Iraq war. Revolution happened in 1979, only about 25 years ago. History of USSR was longer.
