Google closes Lively project.

Takes a major economical breakdown to grasp the idea that computer games are more than pretty virtual rooms full of meaningless pixels. They need content, they need tools for player interaction, they need rules that funnel players creativity in desired direction.

Takes a major economical breakdown to grasp the idea that actual virtual rooms do not require virtual chairs, beds, and tables. They called blogs and forums and function quite nicely without animated avatars.

Well, at least Google finally got it.

Good riddance Lively. The world will be better without you.
