It is time for democracy.

I will enjoy watching Palestinian government that does not receive European money for empty peace promises. Let these proud freedom fighters deal with some real world problems. Pipe-bombs are easier than water-pipes.

You can tell me that they will fight Israel instead. Sorry - FATAH did exactly the same, but we could not even kill a man who started this war because of his "political stature".

Palestinians love to talk about every Israel child responsible since Israel government chosen by its people. Let them finally have a taste of their own medicine.

Yes, I second that. The outcome of the elections finally throws Hamas and the Palestinians into the cold water. I say, let them start swimming. Israel will survive.

Rest assured, they will receive it!

Hamas listed as terrorist organisation in Europe. Hamas have none of past promises given to FATAH. European governments tired with Middle-East peace process. It is very possible they will use the opportunity to stop financial aid that FATAH so long enjoyed.

You are a real optimist! If Europeans are tired of paying money, they will find other way to help thier loved step-brothers. I will not be surprised if they Europeans, for example, require from Israel to pay Hamas the same sums instead. Why? They will find a good reason why.

As if they are genuinely interested in solving the problem...
You'll see how they will continue to channel money to the poor Palestinians not having bread after buying rockets to kill Jewish children.

May be they aren't interested in solving the problem. But you will make a great mistake if you think they interested to waste money without political profit coming out of it.

Oversimplified. The only government that have real reason to appease palestinians is Israel gov-t.

Europe pursues its own means.

Да, интересно.
Они могут шантажировать Европу, например тем, что объявят легальными тяжелые наркотики для не граждан Палестины - будут развивать в тяжелом варианте голандский туристический опыт. :) Или денег давайте!

not going to work. We saw that in Chechnya with Mashadov/Basaev in charge in 1996-1999. Their life standarts droped below Africa but they compensated that by raiding (yes, yes - slave raiding!) outside Chechnya. And all anger was still directed against the Russians. HAMAS will do the same: put forth unacceptable demands and raid nearby lands for slaves and goods.

They have no resources to raid anything. We broke FATAH armed uprising, we will do it with HAMAS if need be.

As for their anger - I long ago lost any hope for peace. Now every terror act speed up separation nicely. And the worse condition in palestinian areas are - the less Israel arabs will be inclined to join them (and the less will be our chances to lose control over Jerusalem).

So IMHO - the worst will be still in our advantage. And if by some crazy chance they will show some common sense - they are welcome to it too.

Я так думаю, что если бы они (ХАМАС) учавствовали на выборах 28 марта, то и там бы они заняли бы 80 из 121го мест.

I wonder, why anybody in Israel could be surprised with this outcome (HAMAS won the election, that is). As if anybody was unaware that they do hate us and don't wont us to exist. Sorry for "us", since I'm not an Israely, just some Jew.

1) Many did not realised how weak is hold of FATAH on PA.

2) Nothing to be sorry about :)
