An application to one of World of Warcraft raiding guilds.

Hell. Many real life companies have a shorter questionnaire

Oh, man! This doesn't feel like gaming anymore.

Tell me :(

On other hand I rather like this sort of "adult content". We play games to train our real life abilities, aren't we? And arguing your way into something is closer to reality than shooting fireballs from your fingertips.

Nope. We play to have fun :-) The great thing about gaming community was this sort of brotherhood, without formalities of real life. If that spirit is forgotten, and guild memebers are strictly evaluated for their ability to advance guild goals (and judged! why do they need to know, who the player hangs out with), then I would rather tolerate that crap in real life for a decent paycheck.

Risk versus reward balance of a real life is different :)

Then effort versus reward balance should match.

My first guild's application consisted of:

"Can I join?"

"Sure" --> /ginvite

This thing you linked to reads like stereo instructions.

Indeed :)

But something like that exist now in every strong raiding guild.
