I felt that it somehow diminished the message of the picture.

I wrote like that: The word is "defiance". It is not about headstrong opposition to change. It is not about saving your barbaric honor by killing your kin. It is about still making a stand when you have neither choice nor hope.

And defiance is rarely as "pretty" as Warshaw ghetto uprisal. Usually it is as ugly and long as an Alzheimer disease.

Defiance is a horrible mix of right and wrong, but it is still on right side, I think...
