United Nations, eh?

arpadAnother UN Assembly resolution top 150 "yes" votes reiterated "its determination that any actions taken by Israel to impose its laws, jurisdiction and administration on the Holy City are illegal and, therefore, null and void, and had no validity whatsoever" It was approved by a vote of 157-6 with 10 abstentions.
Funny how obsession with Palestinian Arabs rights go together with total neglect of Jewish rights. But I am used to it.
I would like to ask a simple question, though, - do a whole "international community" actually want to turn Jerusalem into another Gaza? Is there another keeper around who can effectively protect rights of Christians in Jerusalem? Do Italy, Poland, France, Germany really want holy Christian places being guarded by HAMAS militants? Or may be they want it done by UN peacekeepers that proved useless almost everywhere? Or may be they want to set up one more crusade and take Holy City for themselves?
I think not. What I do think, though, is that UN Assembly become a tribune for comfortable lies, place where non-binding voting is so easy that most countries just stopped to bother about it long ago.
