Red Beard AKA Barberousse AKA Akahige

Big disappointment. Didactic in place of usual subtlety. No conflict. ( well, may be there is some for Japanese eye, but I doubt it). Of course, Mifune is great, many episodes are spectacular too, but overall - the first Kurosawa movie I watched using fast-forward on my player.

HBO Rome (season 2)

Still good, but isn't great as the first season was. Story lost its drive and what they did with Battle of Philippi - is just awful. Turned it into some dumb self-sacrificing show instead of clash of wills it was.

Zabriskie point

Childish and boring. No surprise - when they tell about something "a cult movie" - it is always that. But it was fun to look at (fun - cause I skipped about 3/4 :) ).

Barby Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Better than I thought it is. And better than nothing.
