Well, among the other things - because you can get NEC MultiSync 20WGX2 for your (inevitably incoming) birthday.



It's a multi-purpose tool. Wide screen allows editing of two documents simultaneously, rich color and tolerable refresh rate are for gaming, relatively small dot size is for everything. Strictly for home use, yes, but that is what I needed :)

And counting that I used an old

17" IBM CRT before that - the difference is quite amazing...

Yes, 2 monitors are usually a better idea. In fact I would not advice this model to anyone but me. The combo is very specific and price high.
