As expected - the fuss over jail abuse reaching its heights.

"What's the difference between them and Saddam?" "Americans are now torturing the Iraqi people in the same place Saddam tortured them".

Well, there is a difference.

The difference is that perpetrators will go under trial. The difference is that Western press got the story on the open (2 month after abusers were caught). The difference is that Western governments (include US government) find the story disgusting. The difference is that there is one death case, not mass graves.

The big question, though - if Arab street mind will recognize the difference? Well, we shall see.

No, opyat' taki, vy otkrovenno peredergivaete. My govorim o tom, chto soldaty nekoej armii ploho otnosyatsya k plennym. K plennym v vojne za osvobojdenie strany ot diktatora, etc. Najdite mne hot' odin zvuk v oficial'noj propagande o vojne s islamom.
Moreover, esli by eto pozicionirovvalos; kak vojna za neft', ya by pochti doveryal tem kto eto govorit. Esli by rech' shla o vojne s islamom, ya by podumal o tom, chto mojet ya mogu chem-to pomoch' - pohoje taki vojna islama i hristianskogo mira neizbejna, uvy.. kak v svoe vremya kazalos' pro vojnu CCCP i USA..
No to chto proishodit - eto nikak ne vojna s islamom. I my eshe skoro uvidim kak USA vyrazyat ponimanie resheniya Quatarskogo suda o kazni russkih rebyat. Ya ne govoru o luchshih druz'yah prezidenta - Saudijcah.

Если бы это позиционировалось как война за нефть, то тем кто это так позиционировал надо было бы вырвать руки из жопы, так как return on investment в такой войне ниже всякой критики.
