They say that Hossein Derakhshan - a famous Persian blogger is arrested in Tehran.

I am not at all happy about it. But honestly - it is not my fight. Cause I slowly become convinced that after a young Iranian liberal grow up - they began to despise Israel same as their conservative opponents.

Yes, at first they try to build some bridges and understanding. Then they realize - they preach an impossible development. Then they become tired of bias of the West toward Iran. And then they decide that they should be together with their own people - and the tale is over.

And guess what - Iranian dreams of greatness can differ in size and shape but none of them includes free Israel.

Eventually they will. But until then we should not delude ourselves with idea that Iranian opposition and Iranian democracy change anything to us.

Looks like an imperialistic mindset to me ;-)
I mean how did these British companies get that property in the first place?

You regard totalitarian dictatorships like Cuba, Libya and the Sudan (the last-named of which still practices chattel slavery) fit to legislate to the rest of the world on human rights?

Your defense of the British is disgusting. During the Shah's time, the British, as other western powers, were sucking the resources out of Iran. The British came to Iran during the Qajar period, helped Reza Shah become king, and decided to control him. When he was trying to be independent (he wanted to be neutral in WW2! The bastard!), the British removed him, and put his son instead, and his son was a much better puppet.

Stealing? Fuck you. The British were scum in Iran. They had clubs in MY land where there were signs that said "No Iranians Allowed"

[snip more ranting about the British]

So, shall I take it that you do regard totalitarian dictatorships like Cuba, Libya, and the slave-taking regime of the Sudan as fit to legislate to the rest of the world on human rights?

When he was trying to be independent (he wanted to be neutral in WW2! The bastard!) ...

Yeah, actually it was pretty evil of him to try to be neutral in a war against the Nazis. And I'm glad the British intervened and did what they had to in order to get the oil that fuelled the Allied war machine and brought Hitler's dark empire down on his head.

And somehow USA and UK are masters of human rights? Who has been more responsible for deaths in the world, USA or Libya? USA or Cuba? How many countries has Sudan bombed? I don't give a fuck about those three countries, but I also know that the effect of those countries is internal not external.

Nazism was Europe's problem. It wasn't World War as much as it was mainly European War, that the white imperialists dragged the middle east and Africa in it.

No, you DO NOT HAVE THE MORAL RIGHT to use someone else resource, by force, to support your own war. It is disgusting for you to try to defend that.
