I have nothing more to say about community that opted for war in 1929, 1936, 1948 and since then failed every chance of reconciliation with its neighbors.
What would have happened if, after 1945, the Italians and the Germans had refused to take in their own refugees from Dalmatia and Istria and from Prussia and Silesia - lands that had been Italian and German for centuries - and had insisted on placing them in permanent so-called "refugee camps" abutting the border, fenced in and separated from the rest of the country? Well, for a start, I think a lot of people would have laughed. But a lot more would have been worried, because it would have signalled to the whole world that they did not regard the verdict of war as final and that they were itching for another war.
This is what the Arabs have done with the Palestinians for sixty years.
